Terry Sweeney and Lanier Laney
Maybe you don’t know the name but fans of SNL will recognize Terry Sweeney! Sweeney was a regular cast member of Saturday Night Live in their 1985–86 season. Now he’s a writer and comedian, all thanks to SNL. But a huge thanks goes to SNL during that season because that’s when Sweeney met his partner, Lanier Laney. Laney is a comedy writer, and he was working at SNL at the same time as Sweeney.
