Now that Halloween is over, we are now in the waiting period between the end of October and Christmas! The fact we can really take from all of this though, is that we are at the back end of the year, 2022 is upon us! 2021 has been a tough year in terms of restrictions and getting used to live after Corona, but we have certainly had some good television! 2021 saw us be blessed with such series as Squid Game, Maid, among many more. So what do we have in store for 2022? Some real good ones, that’s for sure! Take a look below and find out.

Ozark Season 4

We have been waiting some time to discover the fate of Marty and Wendy Byrde, since March 27 2020 to be precise. Season 3 ended at a very volatile point, with our favorite pair tricking the cartel but ultimately coming out on top… for now. Ozark has been a huge success in terms of reception, critics loved it and it has so far received 32 Emmy nominations. Lead by versatile actor Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, Ozark Season 4 has been scheduled for release on January 21, 2022. Yes, that means the wait is nearly over! At least this one is coming out near the beginning of the year, we don’t think we could wait even longer than we already have. With this season billed to be the series’ last, get ready for some explosive content.

The Crown Season 5

A fan-favorite, The Crown is a historical drama which explores the events and relationships during the reign of current monarch Queen Elizabeth II. It has been a huge hit on Netflix and seems to get better with each season. Each season sees a different period explored and explores important times, such as Thatcher’s tenure as Prime Minister and Charles’ rocky marriage to Princess Diana. Season 5 will arrive in November 2022, so we still have some wait to go, but we surely cannot wait to see Olivia Coleman back on our screens.

Stranger Things Season 4

It seems as though Stranger Things Season 4 will arrive some time between March-April 2022. We know that production of the series has concluded, it is just a matter of time for the official announcement. The wait has been long, and rather difficult. It has been over two years since Season 3 and we are still waiting for the return of our beloved cast. Our expectations grow as the years go by. This is despite opinions splitting with subsequent seasons being wishy-washy, but the first was just that good, fans still want to know what will happen. This season will be interesting for sure, as we discover what happened to lawman Jim Hopper who has been revealed to be alive! We wait anxiously for that final release date.

You Season 4

After such a long wait for You Season 3, it seems we won’t have to wait too long to see the return of Joe Goldberg in his latest Parisian venture. Billed to be released at the end of 2022, we were delighted to see it be confirmed for a fourth season. Since Joe faked his death and left Madre Linda in Season 3, it is unlikely we will see too many returning characters, apart from Marienne Bellamy, the woman who he has most recently become obsessed with. Perhaps we will see Joe keep up with the progress of his son Henry, who is now in the custody of library co-worker, Dante. We cannot wait to see Joe’s most recent character development (or regression). Whatever the case, his antics keep us entertained.

Disenchantment Season 2, Part 2

Still considered a fairly new show, Matt Groening’s latest production has received mixed views. The Simpsons saw a modern time with a modern, hilarious family. Futurama saw a futuristic society, Disenchantment explores a period of pre-industrialization but with fantasy elements too. The show may not be for everyone, and is in a different style to it’s counterparts, which sees 20 minute episodes that don’t follow on from each other. Disenchantment very much tells a story that shows character development. An interesting type of show that uses great humor and alternative ideas, we look forward to seeing how Princess Tiabeanie, Elfo and Luci get on this time around.
