The ’90s were the best! In an era before smartphones and social media, it was the perfect time to play outside and really appreciate pop culture, music, and classic movies. The ’90s were also filled with some of the most talented, beautiful, lively and sassy celebrity women the world has ever witnessed. Still, while many rose to the height of fame, not all were fated to stay in the industry for too long. A few former celebrities went on to other ventures, some just faded from the spotlight and others retired. So, here’s a run down of some of the most famous ’90s stars that you may or may not have forgotten about.
Yasmine Bleeth
You probably remember Yasmine Bleath as the brunette bombshell, Caroline Holden on the legendary 90’s TV show Baywatch. It’s fairly safe to say she was a big celebrity crush in the ’90s and set a few hearts racing. Yasmine also attracted her fair share of media’s attention, which only boosted her popularity on the show. In 1995, she was awarded with the title ’50 Most Beautiful People’ by People Magazine. After Baywatch, she made an appearance on the long-running soap opera One Life to Live as LeeAnn Demerest, which was broadcasted for over record-breaking 43 years. While she enjoyed her acting run, Yasmine is now 48 and isn’t in the limelight so much anymore.
Michelle Williams
Michelle Williams got her big break in 2003, starring as Jen Lindley in the hit show Dawson’s Creek. After the show, she went on to star in some small-scale independent productions, and high-grossing releases like thriller Shutter Island (2010), the fantasy film Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), the musical The Greatest Showman (2017), and the superhero film Venom (2018). She also received a Golden Globe Award, and has been nominated for four Academy Awards and one Tony Award.
