Sisters and Best Friends
Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret were born four years apart but that did not stop them from forming a very close relationship with each other. Apparently, Princess Margaret called her by a special nickname, “Lilibeth”. They were glued to the hip and they made sure to remain in touch even after they got married and lived in separate homes. Apparently, the Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace shared a direct phone line which must have made communication much easier for the sisters! Princess Margaret was a rather controversial member of the royal family thanks to her divorce, heavy smoking, and numerous relationships with different men.
