Isn’t it odd that Civil War veterans lived into the twenty-first century? According to reports, the last of them died in 1956. The truth is that there were probably a few more nearby at the time. Young men had no choice but to fight if they could follow orders and hold a gun. Many of them still had a bright future ahead of them after serving in the bloodiest war ever fought on American soil.
