Despite dancing in an Eastern style, she pretended to be Lady MacLeod, the daughter of an English lord. Her spy days were legendary, but they were brief. She was shot and killed by a firing squad on October 15, 1917. Before they murdered her, she did not appear to be blindfolded and blew a kiss to the men.
