Celine Dion had a pretty crazy childhood. Did you know she is just one of 15 children in her immediate family? Celine is the youngest, and her birth was actually unplanned by her parents. Her parents had a hard time financially supporting the entire family, and Celine is pretty open about her poor upbringing. She actually had to sleep in a cabinet drawer when she was a child because her parents couldn’t afford enough beds.

Despite hating “My Heart Will Go On,” Celine’s husband, Rene, convinced her to release the single. When she was interviewing with Jonathan Ross she stated, “[Angélil] said, ‘Let’s just do a demo. Let’s give it a try and we’ll see after.’ The demo is actually the real recording. I never sang the song again.” What a great decision! After the song was released in 1997 it became a huge hit. It earned Celine a number of awards and to date, it is her most popular song by far.
