Celine Dion received The National Order of Quebec. This is actually the highest honor Quebec has to offer! Nice job, Celine! She was also given an honorary doctorate from Laval University making her Dr. Dion. How awesome! She dedicated the award to Renee and said it was, “a very great honor for a little girl from Charlemagne.”

Celine Dion performed French musician’s Hugues Aufray’s song, “Celine” when she was only 5 years old at her brother’s wedding. This performance is now viewed as her breakthrough moment that launched her career. Can you believe that? She was only 5! Her voice was so amazing and she displayed so much talent, it was clear she would have an amazing career in music.
