Pretty in purple, Diana wore this purple outfit to the Ascot races in 1981- she matched from head-to-toe. This image was taken after the races. At this time a skirt suit of this sort was tasteful and elegant, her hat, of course, matched and had simple accents of a feather. However, it is the necklace that is truly grabbing our attention. Even when she was just standing Lady Diana was graceful and gorgeous.
