It was only during the late ‘80s that Dolly ended up becoming a big star. When she dropped the album titled “Trio,” it spent an impressive 5 weeks chilling at the top spot of the country charts. Don’t be fooled into thinking that her streak ends there. In 1999, Dolly Parton was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Apart from this achievement, she also created more Grammy Award-winning albums that smacked of her distinctive Bluegrass style.

We already know that she started out as a songwriter, and maybe this is why it’s not surprising to hear how other big stars covered her songs throughout the years. Of course, we remember Whitney Houston’s amazing rendition of the song “I Will Always Love You” for the movie The Bodyguard.
