The Carpenters are made up of siblings Richard and Karen, who came from New Haven, Connecticut. People adored her for her drumming skills and vocal range. She had such a unique voice, which is why they had such a huge fanbase. She primarily performed with her brother, although she has also made solo music. Unfortunately, they were only released in 1996. Paul McCartney of the Beatles even said that she had “the best female voice in the world: melodic, tuneful and distinctive.”

When she was a teen, Christina Aguilera released “Genie in a Bottle.” It proved to be an international bop and turned her into a huge star. Even though she has since released several pop albums, she has also dipped her toes into blues and jazz. She has been compared to the likes of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey in the past. She has said that Etta James is the person with the largest influence on her work, however. Aguilera even described James as her “all-time favorite singer.”
