The “Queen of Jazz Performance” is on our list as well, of course. Ella Fitzgerald made a name for herself as a jazz vocalist. Her most famous work was the collaborations she had with Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. We can’t help but hum along to “I Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing,” “Cheek to Cheek,” and “Dream a Little Dream of Me.” It would be futile to doubt her talents. We will just let her Presidential Medal of Freedom and National Medal of Arts do all the talking for her.
