The McCaughey’s first daughter, Mikayla, was potty trained in just four days. But when it came to the septuplets, the process took a lot longer and the couple knew it might take a couple of months.

Volunteers
It was impossible to care for all the babies alone. Usually the family had about seventy volunteers helping them every day with various tasks. This meant that there were about eight or nine volunteers changing diapers, feeding and making sure the septuplets were being cared for on a daily basis.
