Cryptophasia
As toddlers, the McCaughey babies created their own language that no-one else could understand. This phenomenon is called cryptophasia – the language that twins or triplets (or septuplets in this case) create that only they can understand. Don’t worry, they did learn to speak English as they grew older.

Celebrating Birthdays
Each year the children reached their birthday, it was a call for celebration. However their birthdays weren’t just celebrations, they were also an opportunity to thank God for being healthy and happy. Each year was another sign that the McCaugheys made the right decision by keeping the babies.
