Kate Hudson and her mother Goldie share a lot of similarities. Kate is a successful actress in her own right, mind you. She starred in numerous hit movies and you might even know her from the rom-com films How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days, My Best Friend’s Girl, and Raising Helen. When she was just starting out, Kate distanced herself from the shadows of her parents in an attempt to establish her own career. She started with several smaller roles, though her breakout role proved to be her performance in the critically-acclaimed film Almost Famous. As Penny Lane, the young actress was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the movie, her character was a “band-aid” or a groupie for the band Stillwater.
