Ayla’s father, Justin DiPietro reported to the police that he had put his daughter to bed earlier on in the evening, but when he woke up the next day she was not there and couldn’t find her anywhere. According to authorities, there were a few other adults in DiPietro’s home at the time of her disappearance. One of them included a non-relative. Ayal was living and being taken care of by her father as her mother, Trista Reynolds, was in rehab for substance abuse.
