She knew there would be no free seats for her to spread her legs or have more room because her flight was completely overbooked the day she boarded. Plus, she had the distinct impression that someone was looking at her. Jessica had become accustomed to being scrutinized. She assumed it was because there weren’t many women in the army, and seeing one in uniform was uncommon. As a result, it was clear that this stranger was staring at her with the same intent.
