Filo had a special software code that served as the backbone of the search engine we now know as Yahoo! Needless to say, it turned him into one of the important figures in Silicon Valley. After the majority sale to Verizon Communications back in 2017, his net worth skyrocketed. The company made a fortune out of various microsites, web hubs, and portals over the years. At the moment, they have about 9,000 employees in different parts of the world.
