Saudi Arabia is surrounded by other Arab countries, and they are: Jordan and Iraq in the north, Kuwait in the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates off to the east, Oman to the southeast and Yemen to the south.

Two Calendars
Until 2016, the Saudis had been following only one calendar – their own Lunar Islamic Calendar, but today they use the Gregorian calendar too. The Gregorian calendar is used mainly for civil purposes.
