Yorkshire Terrier
When you are looking for a small and gentle dog, why not opt for a Yorkshire terrier? This dog has an average lifespan of 13 to 20 years, so one will stay with you for a long time as long as you take care of it. This is another dog commonly found in apartments and assisted living centers as they are low-maintenance. Only daily brushing is required! Yorkies do not need exercise all that much either, and we bet you will find them resting on your knees a lot.
