In 2013, an anonymous Australian man was thrift shopping in Sydney when he stumbled upon a pretty cup. It caught his attention, and he was able to buy it for $3 then returned home with it. The man did not know that the cup was actually an extraordinary and rare Chinese libation cup made of rhino horn. It was a traditional Chinese cup. Sotheby, one of the world’s largest brokers of fine and decorative art, jewelry, real estate, and collectibles, was able to fetch the libation cup at $60,000. Cool!
