Up, Up and Away
When Laura Vandervoort auditioned for the role of Kara Kent/Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, producers told her “Don’t leave, just wait outside” to which she immediately replied “Don’t worry, I won’t take off!” meaning that she would not fly back to Canada. However the crew understood that she meant ~literally~ flying back. “Everyone laughed, and I realized I had made a joke, seeing that Supergirl can fly. I simply meant I wouldn’t get back on a plane, but they didn’t need to know that.”
