Off The Radar
After getting discharged, Karen did not bother taking it easy. Instead, she decided to head back to the spotlight immediately. She was even in attendance during the 25th Grammy Awards held on January 1, 1983. Unbeknownst to everyone back then, that would be her last appearance in public. She also made her comeback to the recording studio as soon as possible.

Not For Me
During her earlier interviews, Karen confessed that she was not on the lookout for a relationship. This was due to her demanding schedule and the difficulty of finding someone while working in the industry. However, this did not mean that she did not want it. In fact, people close to her reported that Karen desired a companion as well as a family of her own.
