In December 2009, after Us Weekly reported a so-called mistress and the release of a voicemail message allegedly left by Woods, he admitted to “transgressions” and apologized to “all of those who have supported [him] over the years”. The golfer released another statement, admitting to infidelity and announcing that he would take “an indefinite break from professional golf.”
