1997 is when the unthinkable happened….Tom Selleck shaved his mustache off! NOOOOOO! Okay, I’m calm again. Anyways, he did so for the movie In & Out. Afterwards he didn’t shave it again unless necessary for a role.

Back in 2001, Selleck played the lead in the Broadway revival of A Thousand Clowns. Critics were quick to bash Selleck’s performance as they felt Jason Robards, Jr. played the part much better, I mean he did win tons of awards for portraying that character. Gardner, the playwright, was quick to say, “Selleck was the way he had always envisioned Murray.”
