She is, however, best known for her comedic roles, the most notable of which is Private Benjamin, for which she won an Academy Award. Her flawless blonde hair and attractiveness catapulted her into a multi-decade career. Hawn’s other film credits include Butterflies Are Free, Housesitter, Shampoo, Death Becomes Her, and First Wives Club. Since 1983, she has been married to Kurt Russell, a fellow filmmaker.
