DIAHANN CARROLL, 83 YEARS OLD
Diahann Carroll was the idol of young African-American women with show business aspirations! Why? Well, she was the first non-white woman to have taken on a lead role in a television show. Her appearance in Julia was considered groundbreaking for women of color. She has received all sorts of awards, accolades, and nominations during her lengthy Hollywood career. The actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997 but she lived through the ordeal. This wonderful woman has since retired and her last acting credit dates back to 2014.

Although there are a number of actors who went on to portray James Bond, there can only be one original. Sean Connery will forever be special for being the first one to take on the role of our favorite British spy. The actor actually started out doing stage productions before he made his film debut with Dr. No. As you might already know, this was then followed by six other films in the James Bond series. Apart from these, he has also starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Untouchables, and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He retired at the age of 77. Not bad at all!
