Sam Elliott
After moving to LA to become an actor, he needed to find a way to make ends meet. He joined the California Air National Guard’s 163rd Airlift Wing. He was stationed off of France in the Channel Islands. After serving just a few short years, he landed his first major gig in the film the Sundance Kid. His service definitely helped his acting in many roles in films with military themes.
