Brooke Shields
Brooke Shields was initially a child model who at the age of 12 got her first leading role in Louis Malle’s rather controversial film Pretty Baby. It was this role that garnered Shields widespread notoriety; she continued to model into her late teenage years, even starring in several dramas. In 1983, however, Shields stopped her modeling and acting career in order to attend Princeton University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages. When she returned to the limelight in the 90s, she was rather successful and has had plenty of television guest appearances.

Lauren Bacall
Initially Lauren Bacall was a model but she went on to shape her film and Broadway career into the success we all know and love. In fact, the American Film Institute named Bacall the 20th greatest female star of classic Hollywood. However just before her 90th birthday, Bacall suffered a stroke and passed away.
