The Lijiang resident was also smitten with the adorable baby creature and had zero ideas about its true identity. At night, he slept beside the little animal and even shared his meals with what he thought was a dog. However, he eventually noticed that it would not stop growing. After taking a closer look at the creature’s features, he realized his so-called “small milk dog” was, in fact, a black bear! There was nothing left to do but surrender his buddy to the local authorities.
