What It Meant
Even though we humans cannot understand what animals want to say, it is easy enough to understand what was going on. The adult elephants could not retrieve the baby because there was no room to do that. They used their voices to ask for help instead. Were they counting on a guardian angel to help them out in such a trying time? What is clear is that they were not planning to give up on the baby.
What It Meant
One More Try
Although the baby elephant has lost a lot of energy, it started to gain hope after hearing the noises. The calf knew that it was their way of displaying concern and love. The baby mustered all the strength it could and then tried to kick some more. However, there was no way it could get out of there on its own. With one final attempt, this elephant only slumped back down. It must be heartbreaking to see this.
