It’s not true that a popular show automatically means it’s “fake.” Many contestants have expressed dissatisfaction with the judging portion of the competition, including Daniel Esquivel and Jack Mackenroth. Esquivel has spoken out against the show’s producers, accusing them of tailoring it to sensationalize the contestants to the extreme.

This show was an instant success. The team led by business owner Buddy Valastro created beautiful and intricate cake designs for us to admire. In reality, however, things aren’t quite as dramatic as they appear. For starters, Valastro only comes to the shop when they’re filming something. Some of the events are also staged, such as weddings.
