Dusty Springfield
A British musician, Dusty Springfield, also found plenty of success across the pond. In the United States, she is best known for soul hits such as “Son of Preacher Man” and “I Just Don’t Know What to Do with Myself.” Aside from that, she also made quite the splash once the Swinging Sixties rolled in. We also loved how she would wear evening gowns for her performances. For five years, she had cancer. Sadly, she lost the fight in 1999. We are glad that her musical legacy continues to live on.
