Taking Steps
Due to their cerebral palsy, Nathan and Alexis were confined to using walkers in order to move around. Nathan felt that he could teach himself how to walk and every day he pushed himself just a little towards his walking goal. “I taught myself how to walk because I really wanted to learn. It’s just been getting better and better.”

Making Waves
Although Alexis suffers from a more severe ailment, it doesn’t mean she hasn’t made strides elsewhere. In 2013, Alexis made her mark when she won the “Teen Miss Dreams Made True” award. And back at school she was making waves when she finished in the top 15% of her class.
