Unfortunately, the club closed its doors as quickly as it opened back in 1977. The IRS went over the club in search of the club owners, Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell, in December 1978. During an interview on CBS, Rubell described that fateful day to be “…probably the worst, one of the worst days of my life.”
