What is going on?
David began to cry. Rose lifted him again as he tried to lift himself on the coffin’s edge to gaze over it at his mother. She looked around the room to see if someone could assist her, but no one was there. She soothed David and inquired as to what he was saying.

Rose understood him this time and informed the undertaker of David’s discoveries. She realized she couldn’t go on with the funeral unless this was resolved. Rose told David that they would check into it, and that all they had to do now was wait. David calmed down, and they went outside to wait.
