Miss Nevada
Dawn Wells actually got crowned as Miss Nevada back in 1959. Her win helped her earn a scholarship at the University of Washington, where she went on to study theater. Once she finished her degree, she moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue acting. Despite her dreams of acting, she did not want to end up another beautiful face in the big city. Thus, she remained focused and continued to work hard to reach fame.

At first, Wells was a bit intimidated because Tina Louise was a huge star. This was before many people knew Dawn Wells. However, once Dawn Wells got past her nerves, her friendship with her costar blossomed. Dawn Wells is even friends on social media with Louise’s daughter. So sweet!
