Did you know that Kurt Russell initially wanted to be a pro baseball player? When he was younger, he followed in his father’s footsteps and signed up for the minor leagues. He was a second baseman for two California Angels affiliates, the Bend Rainbows and the Walla Walla Islanders.
A Career-Ending Injury
In 1973, he even rose to class AA! He was a rising baseball star who had a .563 batting average, though it all came to an end when he tore his rotator cuff. After the incident, he made the decision to act again. We bet he is happy he made that decision!
