For a while, there were multiple rumors going around claiming that Mark Harmon was intent on leaving NCIS. Michael Weatherly immediately replied, “He’s the spine of the show. Without him it’s a show about jellyfish. We need our spine.” And we know, Harmon hasn’t gone anywhere!

This fact is actually quite surprising but on the other hand, it also isn’t. NCIS is just one of few (and very few!) spin-offs to have ran longer than the original show. Color us impressed.
