Even when no murders had taken place, McCallum was on-screen. As a result, Ducky would speak about the psychology of the case, or he would offer his personal advice.

Now this would have been an interesting casting role! Turns out that Jennifer Aniston was interested in the role of Kate, I know right?! However the only way she could have played the part is if production waited for her to finish filming the final season of Friends.
