We know, we know. Nothing looks easy about standing “at ease”! It does get better with practice, however. Soldiers have been taking this stance for years, and it eventually becomes comfortable for them. Even those who leave service will still stand like this!

Sir And Ma’am
Soldiers also treat everyone with equal respect. This is most evident in their speech. Regardless of who they are speaking with, they will call men ‘sir’ and women ‘ma’am’. Personally, we think most people need to follow their example!
