Pregnant With Eight
When Dr. Michael Kamrava implanted such a large number of embryos, his action was actually unprecedented and a significant departure from the standard practice in the medical community, but Nadya Suleman didn’t have any regret about it. While others would be really scared, she was actually excited and since eight of the embryos stuck, Nadya ended up pregnant with eight babies at once. However, there’s a difference between what someone desires and what the person is actually capable of handling and that became the central question. Would Nadya Suleman be physically able to have eight babies at the same time, after having given birth six times before?
Dubbed ‘Octomom’
Nadya Suleman’s strenuous nine months of pregnancy definitely affected her body since eight babies at the same time is obviously much more than a typical woman can handle. As expected, the story reached the media rather quickly, and Nadya turned into a viral sensation, earning her the nickname, “Octomom.” Even though some people may think that the pregnancy of a Californian single mother doesn’t seem newsworthy, there was a reason behind Octomom’s notoriety. Her pregnancy turned out to be record-breaking and carried implications for the future – some of which weren’t so positive.
