Parents never know what they might arrive home to when they return after being away – whether it’s for a day or a week. The house might be really messy, with leftovers and other remnants of a party littering the whole place, or the kids could surprise the parents and have the house in excellent condition. In this case, though, the teenagers had a much different idea.

The Schoonovers may reside in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in a spot that is quite popular with vacationers, but Chip and Karen still needed to get away once in a while. Although it initially seemed precarious, the couple believed their four daughters were at the right age to be expected to take care of themselves while the parents were gone. Thus, one December, the couple decided to go on a week long trip. However they did not expect the surprise that their kids cooked up while the couple were away.
