Going off the last fact, Reese and Nicole Kidman earned the option for Big Little Lies after Reese convinced Nicole to have lunch with the author, Liane Moriarty, in Sydney, Australia. Once Moriarty was on board, they called Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Zoë Kravitz – every one of them immediately said yes to appearing in the series.

In 2005, Reese Witherspoon played the epic part of June Carter in Walk the Line alongside Joaquin Phoenix. It took the actress six months(!) to learn to sing and play instruments.
