William would eventually learn how to say “Granny” correctly. Apparently, however, it became a family inside joke. Prince William and Prince Harry would allegedly still call her Gary when it is just the two brothers. We don’t recommend calling her by the nickname! Only her grandchildren have the luxury to do so— we still have to use honorifics, of course.
