Not Again
Earl, Tiger’s dad, wrote that his son first defeated him when he was 11 years old, and Earl was really trying his best. From that moment on, Earl lost to Tiger every single time. By then, Woods had won the Junior World Championships six times and that includes four consecutive wins from 1988 to 1991. At 15, he was the youngest U.S. Junior Amateur champion ever. This record stood until 2010, Jim Liu was the one to break it finally.
Growing Fast
Tiger Woods was growing so fast that he couldn’t even keep the same size set of clubs. Between the ages of 16 and 17, he changed the length of his clubs on two separate occasions!
