Just a year before Magnum would go off air, Selleck starred in the hit comedy movie Three Men and a Baby, alongside Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson. Thanks to his role in Magnum, Selleck’s career was looking pretty darn amazing however this film helped to propel it even more. In fact, the flick was the biggest motion picture box office hit of that year, grossing more than $170 million in the United States.

His wife and parents both appeared on Magnum P.I., and even though they had small roles, it’s still pretty awesome that Selleck pulled some strings to make it happen. Jillie Mack appeared in the fourth season, in the Rembrandt’s Girl episode.
