This overall process was happening during the time that the Halberts were actually returning to Honduras for another missionary project. But first, they needed to see if their implantation was a success. But the family wasted no time, as they boarded a plane to Honduras. Six weeks post-implantation they traveled to a local hospital to see if it was all successful. With their broken Spanish, they spoke to a doctor and tried their best to explain the situation.

The doctor that helped them looked quite flabbergasted and was surprised as to why they had made their appointment. He was familiar with in-vitro fertilization but something seemed very surprising and needed to know exactly how many embryos were implanted. The couple was ecstatic to hear that the in-vitro treatment worked. But, that was not the end, the doctor had more news for them…this was the reason for his concern…
