When she was a theater student at NYU, a talent agent discovered her. In 1981, she first had a small role in On the Right Track. Then her shot at popularity came in Square Pegs where she played the role of Muffy. She has since established a name for herself and has starred in shows like, The Facts of Life, ER, Ally McBeal and the Entourage, which is shown on HBO.

Being born from two photographers, Mia Sara surely did not run out of creative genes. She instantly rose to fame after playing Lilly in Ridley Scott’s 1985 film, Legend. Mia Sara became even more popular after Ferris Bueller’s Day Off where she played the role of Sloane, opposite Matthew Broderick. She had then become very active in acting until the 2000’s. Her first husband was Sean Connery’s son. Now, she is married to the son of Jim Henson, one of the Muppets.
