Constantin Panait had been taking advantage of Nadia’s broken English to keep her to himself. The two had a rather bizarre relationship together. Although Panait had a wife, the pair often checked in at hotels and motels. When asked about it, Nadia only responded by sticking her tongue out and telling them, “It’s a secret.” That sounds nothing short of shady if you ask us!

A Friend In Need
Nadia was unable to ask for help until she went to Canada for a holiday. She luckily ran into Alexandru Stefu, a friend of hers, who asked her about the way she was acting around Panait. Much to his surprise, she confessed that she was being held against her will. Stefu was infuriated and decided to confront Panait who ran away upon learning he was in trouble. In fact, he left the country and even took a huge chunk of Nadia’s money with him. Despite the way she was treated, Nadia remains grateful to him for bringing her to America.
